Hakomi
Hakomi is a Body-Centered Therapy drawing upon scientific, psychological, and spiritual methods. Hakomi promotes mindfulness, nonviolence, unity, and mind-body integration. This involves short practices done in a state of ‘mindfulness’ to help us discover some of our deeply held beliefs and understand patterns of behaviour that may be causing us unnecessary suffering.
This type of assisted self-study can bring relief from persistent painful emotions and behaviours. It can also bring a much deeper understanding of yourself and, with that, more freedom to choose what matters to you most, greater pleasure in everyday living, and to engage in fuller, richer, more rewarding relationships.
